Introduction - The Vision
Set inside Bosque del Pacifico on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, Alma del Bosque invites guests to reconnect through nature-based experiences, gentle workshops, and moments of reflection in the forest.
“Alma del Bosque,” meaning Soul of the Forest, is a space where one can come to experience plenty. Spend the night in a comfy eco-friendly accommodation and visit the center for social gatherings.
Enjoy a nice meal, sign up for an upcoming workshop, take a swim, or enjoy our co-working spaces—indoors or outdoors—with reliable, fast fiber internet.
When the weather is nicest, we recommend taking a walk on the forest trails, exploring sweet hidden spots, and reconnecting with nature in the tropical dry forest ecosystem of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast.
Three Pillars of the Center

At the heart of Bosque del Pacifico lies a special part of the tropical dry forest that we’ve committed to protecting and nurturing.
We value the unique connection between humans and nature, and we cherish the opportunity to create something meaningful through this relationship.
Visitors can enjoy thoughtfully designed trails, discover hidden resting spots (In development), and fully immerse themselves in the forest. Each path and lookout point will be designed to highlight the richness of the ecosystem, including native tree species, wildlife habitats, and seasonal streams.
Guided or self-paced experiences allow guests to engage with the land responsibly, while educational activities connect people with the forest and promote ecological awareness.
Through these efforts, we continue to expand the green heart of Bosque del Pacifico, ensuring that our footprint on the land is gentle, respectful, and restorative.
Taking form at the heart of the center, the House of Gatherings will be designed to host a wide range of workshops, activities, and experiences. It’s a place where people could come together — whether to learn, create, relax, or simply share a moment in nature.
The environment will be a blend of comfort with inspiration: hammocks for relaxation, comfy coworking areas for collaboration, a pool and restaurant for social moments. Every activity is thoughtfully crafted to support personal growth, cultural exchange, and a deeper connection to the tropical dry forest of Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast.
The Experience We Aim to Create is a gentle balance of relaxation and engagement — where guests can participate at their own pace, feel welcome, and enjoy a space that evolves with the center and its surroundings.
We will place eco-crafted cabañitas designed for comfort, artistry, and a deep sense of belonging. Will be built through bioconstruction techniques and guided by biophilic design, each space will use natural materials like earth blends, bamboo, and locally sourced wood.
These type of accommodation will offer more than sustainability. They feel different the moment you step inside — grounding, soothing, and naturally regulating temperature. The materials breathe with the environment, creating a gentle atmosphere that supports rest, clarity, and well-being.
Each cabañita will be cozy, private, and thoughtfully placed beneath the forest canopy and mango trees, creating a small sanctuary that stays connected to everything Alma del Bosque has to offer. A stay here becomes a restorative experience in harmony with the land.
An Experience That Feels Just Right
Staying in these cabañitas is not just accommodation — it’s an experience of simplicity, peace, and natural harmony. A place where guests can breathe deeper, sleep better, and feel genuinely held by the environment.
Hosting Workshops & Activities
As part of the center’s development, we are designing a program of workshops and activities that reflect our values of sustainability, well-being, and meaningful community engagement. These offerings are meant to create genuine experiences for residents, visitors, and retreat guests — supporting learning, personal growth, cultural exchange, and a deeper connection with the land here in Guanacaste
Ecological & Sustainability Workshops
Practical, hands-on sessions focused on reforestation, natural building methods, regenerative gardening, and responsible land stewardship. These workshops help participants better understand the tropical dry forest ecosystem and gain usable skills they can bring into their lives.
Wellness & Personal Growth Activities
Guided practices such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, and other wellness modalities designed to support physical, emotional, and mental well-being. These experiences take place in the center’s quiet natural spaces, designed for reflection and restoration.
Creative & Cultural Programs
Activities highlighting local art, music, crafts, and storytelling — offering guests the chance to connect with Costa Rican culture while exploring their own creativity. These programs encourage cultural exchange and community connection.
